Since 1919, Worcester Garden Club members have demonstrated their talents in floral design. We are always amazed at the creativity and originality that resides in these individuals!

Members are involved in our own shows, Garden Club of America shows, the Worcester Art Museum's Flora in Winter, and other local, regional, national and international opportunities for showcasing floral designs.

Horticulture

The word Horticulture derives from the Latin word “hortus”, meaning garden. It is “the science and art of growing fruits, vegetables, flowers, or ornamental plants” and forms the basis of so much of what we do as a garden club.

The Worcester Garden Club's Horticulture Committee seeks to support this science by nurturing the knowledge and love of gardening, promoting useful and valuable plants, and by  helping to conserve those at risk. In doing so, we support the Garden Club of America in its efforts to educate in responsible ways for planting, propagating, and growing.
